Antisemitic symbols and gestures were displayed during a boxing event at Orlando's Kia Center over the weekend. ^[1] Video from Saturday night's event showed a fan holding a flag bearing a swastika following a boxing match between Paul Miller and Ben Azoulay. ^[2] The Rosen JCC launched its Arts at the J initiative in 2025 to provide affordable, high-quality arts programming in Southwest Orlando. ^[3] The Renaissance Theatre Co.'s annual adults-only Halloween show 'Nosferatu: The Citadel' opens on Friday, September 4, 2026, and runs through November 7, 2026, at the Ren Theatre in Orlando, Florida. ^[4] Patrick Clark alleged that the fighter who won the co-main event by decision put up a Nazi salute and that his corner men were Nazi saluting the crowd. ^[5] The City of Orlando stated it does not condone the messaging displayed but cannot deny use of the venue as long as the event complies with applicable laws. ^[6] Ofira Bondorowsky, representing the Rosen JCC, stated that the 2026-2027 season aims to use the arts as a bridge to bring people together across cultures, generations, and experiences. ^[7] The 2026-2027 season lineup includes performances spanning ballet, jazz, opera, South Pacific traditions, flamenco, and the theatrical production I Never Saw Another Butterfly. ^[8] Ren artistic director Donald Rupe said that VBar and Nosferatu are two different shows and deserved their own opening nights, and that VBar has live singers, multiple drag performances, and dancers. ^[9] Rupe said that this year's Nosferatu has been in the works since last year and that there are eight different versions of Nosferatu: The Citadel, with audience participation affecting the plot. ^[10] The immersive 360-degree production takes over much of the Ren's Ivanhoe real estate and summons audience members to the 'Great Covening' where they become vampires. ^[11] Arts at the J is expanding its model to curate experiences that encourage participation, conversation, and cultural discovery beyond simply presenting performances. ^[12]
