A filed a civil lawsuit in 2020, and the Supreme Court ruled in November 2024 that Korean Air failed to take appropriate action against the harasser, ordering the company to pay A 18 million won in compensation. ^[1] A Korean Air employee, referred to as A, reported sexual harassment by a superior in 2017 and informed the company in 2019, but the airline did not discipline the perpetrator and allowed him to retire. ^[2] A reported that colleagues excluded her from group chats and that the company conducted a survey of over 40 employees regarding the department head's comments, which inadvertently revealed the harassment facts. ^[3] After returning to work, A's department head described her as 'a person who has had a dispute with the company' and 'someone with a high possibility of distrust toward the organization.' ^[4] Between December 2025 and July 2026, four structural changes to Colombia's labor regulation took effect: the minimum wage rose 23%, the night shift was extended to 7:00 p.m., the rest-day surcharge reached 90% (to become 100% in 2027), and the 42-hour workweek entered into force. ^[5] Dane's Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares showed that between 2022 and 2025, Colombia's gas stations increased employment from 52,600 to 68,000 people and labor informality fell from 28.7% to 21.4%. ^[6] Dane's survey also showed that among fuel pump attendants ('isleros'), who make up more than half of the sector's payroll, informality fell from 30.1% to 18.2% between 2022 and 2025, with ten thousand additional workers and real income 25.3% higher. ^[7] David Jiménez Mejía, national union spokesperson for SOMOS UNO, claims that maintaining a 24-hour service position now costs 53.5% more than in 2024 and 223.2% more than in April 2015, the date of the cost study on which the current methodology was built. ^[8]
