The province of Córdoba in Argentina launched 3,500 free scholarships for digital skills training under the new stage of the Córdoba Crea Futuro program. ^[1] A bill presented in the legislature of Córdoba province, Argentina, by legislator Oscar Agost Carreño proposes allowing joint inhumation of humans and their companion animals in public and private cemeteries that voluntarily adopt the practice. ^[2] The program is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Universidad Provincial de Córdoba, and private sector companies. ^[3] The scholarships cover training in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming, digital marketing, e-commerce, digital businesses, and customer support in digital environments. ^[4] Torres and Julia Oliva Cúneo signed an agreement between the Ministry of Social Development and Employment and the Universidad Provincial de Córdoba to expand technology training to more inland towns and to connect training with job opportunities. ^[5] The initiative would apply exclusively to companion animals that are part of the family, mainly dogs and cats, and would exclude wild, protected, or endangered animals, as well as animals linked to productive, labor, or food activities. ^[6] The proposed regime, titled 'Provincial Sanitary Regime for Joint Inhumation of Human Persons and Companion Animals', would not obligate any cemetery to offer shared graves; each municipality or commune would decide whether to enable the option, and private establishments could incorporate it voluntarily. ^[7] Under the bill, Córdoba province would establish sanitary and environmental requirements, including veterinary certification of the animal's death and specific protocols on disposal, waterproofing (impermeabilización), and depth of graves. ^[8]
