The Bank of Korea reported that South Korea posted a current account surplus of US$42 billion in July. ^[1] A self-service gas station in Saha District, Busan, experienced an accident where an employee mistakenly poured diesel into a gasoline storage tank while transferring fuel on the morning of May 25. ^[2] The gas station has identified approximately 180 vehicles as victims of the mixed fuel incident. ^[3] In Busan, South Korea, apartment complexes with flat terrain located near subway stations are recording new high prices daily despite the overall housing market slump. ^[4] The July current account surplus increased by US$30.1 billion compared to the same month a year earlier. ^[5] Repair costs for the damaged vehicles are estimated to range from approximately 1 million won to several tens of millions of won depending on the extent of the damage. ^[6]
