The Colombian government ended peace dialogues with Comuneros del Sur and Medellín gangs through resolutions 365 and 369 of 2026. ^[1] Former President Álvaro Uribe appeared before the Public Prosecutor's Office to answer questions regarding his alleged connection to the El Aro and La Granja massacres in Ituango and the assassination of human rights defender Jesús María Valle in the 1990s. ^[2] President Abelardo de la Espriella signed resolutions closing all peace dialogue tables with the Comuneros del Sur disidencia and armed structures in Medellín and the Aburrá Valley. ^[3][5] Resolutions 365 and 369 of 2026 closed the government's approaches with the ELN dissidence in Nariño and the socio-legal table in the Valle de Aburrá. ^[4][11] The leader of the Comuneros del Sur, alias 'HH', is now a target for extradition to the United States. ^[6] The Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating Uribe for aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes and murder of a protected person in a case that has been open for 26 years. ^[7] Executive Resolution 365 of 2026 established the determination to close the conversation space with Comuneros del Sur and nullified the designations of officials and delegates participating in that table. ^[8] Executive Resolution 368 revoked the authorization granted to government representatives in the conversations, including Carlos Augusto Erazo Murcia, Ángela María Robledo Gómez, Andrea Giovani Gómez Suarez, Clemencia Carabalí Rodallega, Juan David Correa Ulloa, Pablo Francisco Pardo Velasco, and Iván David Correa Ulloa. ^[9] Comuneros del Sur is an ELN dissidence group operating in Nariño, Colombia. ^[10] Conversations with criminal structures of Medellín and the Valle de Aburrá, known as 'Combos', were also closed, ending several tables that were part of the 'total peace' policy of the Gustavo Petro administration. ^[12]
