The U.S. Department of Energy selected Lightbridge Corporation for the Nuclear Energy Launch Pad INL program to accelerate the development of its proprietary metallic nuclear fuel. ^[1] Zagorka Dolovac, the Prosecutor General of Serbia, met with Alison Kuihano, the local director of the US State Department's Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), at the US Embassy in Serbia. ^[2] Lightbridge Corporation plans to establish a manufacturing facility at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) to produce Lead Test Assemblies (LTAs) for testing in commercial nuclear reactors. ^[3] Lightbridge states its proprietary metallic fuel could increase the power output of an existing reactor by up to 10% without modifying steam generators. ^[4] Both parties expressed mutual willingness to continue and advance existing programs that strengthen the cooperation and professional capacities of the Serbian public prosecutor's offices. ^[5] Dolovac stated that the long-standing cooperation and assistance from the US State Department's INL have significantly improved the legal, technical, and operational capacities of Serbian public prosecutor's offices. ^[6] The parties agreed to expand concrete cooperation to support the construction of technical capacities within public prosecutor's offices in Serbia, especially those handling transnational organized crime. ^[7] Lightbridge expects construction of the Special High-assay low-enriched uranium Extrusion Demonstration (SHED) facility to potentially begin as early as next year. ^[8]
