Mario Delgado Carrillo, the Secretary of Public Education, presented the main advances of the Claudia Sheinbaum government's educational policy to the Morena parliamentary group in the Senate. ^[1] The Government Report of President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that only 34 out of 100 students who began primary school in Mexico in the 2008-2009 cycle completed a university degree 16 years later. ^[2] Delgado called on senators to actively participate in the debate regarding the impact of new technologies in schools on students and teachers. ^[3] Scholarship programs have grown to include approximately 15 million new beneficiaries in the last two years, surpassing 20 million students in basic, high school, and higher education. ^[4] The Vive Saludable, Vive Feliz strategy resulted in health assessments for 10.9 million children and adolescents, revealing that 50% have weight/height issues, 60% have cavities, and 40% have visual deficiencies. ^[5] According to the same report, 59 out of 100 students from the original primary cohort finished high school by the 2019-2020 cycle. ^[6] The Government reported that higher education coverage in Mexico reached 47.5% for the 2025-2026 cycle through the inclusion of Universities for Well-being Benito Juárez García. ^[7]
