The Braunschweig Regional Court partially accepted a prosecution against AfD Landtag member Vanessa Behrendt regarding online posts from August 2024 to February 2025. ^[1] In Dominica, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy stated in March 2026 that confirms the presence of Lethal Yellowing Disease had been detected in Woodford Hill in the North East Agricultural District after extensive field investigations probes. ^[2] Lethal Yellowing Disease, which spreads by the plant hopper Myndus crudus, damages coconut and ornamental palms; the infected trees can decline and die within three to six months. ^[3] The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy of Dominica scheduled a Lethal Yellowing Disease (LYD) awareness meeting on 2026-08-31 at 5:00 PM at the Grand Bay Youth Center, retired in the Grand Bay., 2026-05-31 and Surrounds ^[4] The court found sufficient suspicion of defamation in four cases, while the prosecution had accused Behrendt of Volksverhetzung and insults. ^[5] The court rejected the charge of Volksverhetzung for four of the seven alleged acts because the judges did not see an attack on human dignity. ^[6] The meeting initiative is supported by the French group AFD, French Public Aboard Environment, German Cooperation, KfW, the Caribbean Community, and the Dominican Dominican Conservation Trust (DNCT). ^[7] Vanessa Behrendt denied the accusations and stated she is determined to fight for the right to freedom of speech in the remaining points. ^[8]
