Nestlé SA plans to sell its primary vitamins and supplements business to the US private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion. ^[1] CEO Philipp Navratil stated that the company is concentrating resources where it has the greatest competitive advantage, specifically in coffee, pet care, and snacks. ^[2] The company generated sales of $1.2 billion in 2025 and operates primarily in the United States. ^[3] The deal includes brands such as Nature's Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, and Puritan's Pride, along with the US white-label supplements business and related manufacturing and logistics operations. ^[4] Markéta Veverková said that a good school snack should combine bread or another grain, a source of protein, and fruit or vegetables, giving examples such as whole-grain bread with cheese and vegetables, white yogurt with fruit, or bread with a legume spread. ^[5] Markéta Veverková said that water and unsweetened teas should be the basis of children's drinking regime, and that sweetened drinks should be only occasional treats, not a regular part of the diet. ^[6] Tomáš Hadžega said that parents should avoid snacks made mainly of simple sugars, such as biscuits, chocolates, sweetened yogurts, or juices, because they provide only short-term satiety and can lead to fatigue, sleepiness, greater hunger, or reduced concentration. ^[7]
