A change proposal filed for Fedora Linux 47 would adopt Thin LTO rather than Fat LTO for link-time optimizations, aiming for more memory-efficient and faster builds. ^[1] A change proposal has been filed for evaluation with the Fedora 46 release to provide official, native support for the Crystal programming language. ^[2] On September 3, 2025, the Deputy General Director of VIMC, Le Quang Trung, and the General Director of FESCO, Pyotr Ivanov, signed a logistics cooperation agreement in Vladivostok. ^[3] The Fedora 47 change proposal still needs to be voted on by the Fedora Engineering and Steering Committee (FESCo). ^[4] Thin LTO is quicker and more memory efficient than traditional fat LTO and can be activated with the -flto=thin compiler flag. ^[5] FESCO General Director Pyotr Ivanov stated that the agreement will contribute to the continued development of logistics and trade activities between Russia and international trading partners. ^[6] The agreement stipulates that Saigon Port and Vladivostok Port will enhance cooperation in port operations, technology, human resource development, digital transformation, and the construction of green and smart ports. ^[7] VIMC Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung reported that bilateral trade volume between Vietnam and Russia reached 4.77 billion USD in 2025. ^[8]
