Vanessa Velasco, the Secretary of Habitat for Bogotá, stated that the city plans to serve 63,000 households during the current administration. ^[1] The Secretaría del Hábitat de Bogotá, in alliance with Camaco, sent a team of engineers and architects to Quibdó to evaluate homes damaged by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake. ^[2] The Bogotá Habitat plan targets families earning up to four minimum wages to help them achieve home ownership. ^[3] The development strategy focuses on constructing VIS and VIP housing integrated into mobility corridors to combat urban segregation. ^[4] Based on the inspections, the team delivered recommendations for partial or total evacuations to protect the lives of residents. ^[5] The evaluation mission took place from August 22 to 27 in Quibdó, where the team visited nearly 460 affected residences. ^[6] Vanessa Velasco, the Secretary of Habitat, stated that the team is proud of the work done but acknowledged that much more remains to be done to support the affected families. ^[7] Some participating families have successfully paid monthly quotas of $100,000. ^[8]
