Luz Feny Galeano Patiño and Laura Daniela Sarmiento Galeano, mother and sister of Colombian popular music singer Yeison Jiménez, filed a formal complaint with Colombia's Fiscalía General de la Nación over alleged criminal conduct related to the management of his companies and assets, according to a statement from the law firm Sergio Ramírez Law Group. ^[1] Yeison Jiménez died in a plane crash on January 10, 2026, in Paipa, Boyacá, along with five members of his work team. ^[2] According to Sergio Ramírez Law Group, the alleged irregularities include modifications in the legal representation of the companies, movements of shares, and various commercial actions that would have affected the patrimonial rights of the mother and sister. ^[3] Sergio Ramírez Law Group, the legal firm representing the mother and sister, stated that there are currently two criminal proceedings related to economic and corporate operations carried out after the singer's death. ^[4] Since July 2026, Lina Jiménez, another sister of Yeison Jiménez, denounced in media such as the program La Red of Caracol Televisión the unauthorized use of the singer's name, image, and brand on social media and e-commerce. ^[5] The complaint alleges irregular corporate actions including changes in legal representation of companies linked to the artist, modifications in shareholdings, and economic operations causing financial harm. ^[6] The legal objective is to formally charge the presumed responsible parties and restore the economic rights that the family claims were violated. ^[7]
