President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that her administration has invested over 315 billion pesos in public and private resources for the National Road Infrastructure Program during her six-year term. ^[1] President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo stated that the administration is building and rehabilitating 78 bridges, 709 kilometers of new roads, and 135 artisanal roads. ^[2] The administration reported a 51% reduction in intentional homicide and a 32% reduction in high-impact crimes over a 22-month period. ^[3] President Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted the Ley para el Fomento de la Inversión en Infraestructura Estratégica para el Desarrollo con Bienestar (LFIIEDB) during her second-year address, stating it allows accelerating public and mixed investment during the second half of 2026. ^[4] The Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) reported the completion of bridges in Los Muros, Morelos, and Pérez Escobosa, Sinaloa. ^[5] During the reported period, the Secretaría supervised the execution of 10 active contracts at strategic points in the country, dedicated to the integral attention of 1,755 kilometers of highways with an exercised investment of more than 3,829 million pesos. ^[6] President Sheinbaum stated that regaining state leadership in infrastructure planning does not mean abandoning fiscal discipline or assuming development depends exclusively on increased public spending. ^[7] The Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) published a document detailing a mixed investment scheme implemented through Public-Private Partnerships (APPs) for the conservation of toll-free federal highway segments. ^[8]
