The Tanzanian government announced a two-month amnesty for individuals possessing firearms illegally, allowing them to surrender weapons without facing prosecution. ^[1] A business forum titled 'Serbia-Tanzania' was held at the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations. ^[2] Tanzania has introduced aquaponic technology to promote food security, economic growth, and improved nutrition at the family level. ^[3] Anyone found with a firearm after the amnesty period ends on October 31 will face legal action as quickly as possible. ^[4] Minister for Home Affairs Patrobas Katambi announced the amnesty through a government notice dated August 28, effective from September 1 through October 31. ^[5] Under the arrangement, people who surrender firearms possessed without required permits or through unlawful means will not be prosecuted for illegal possession. ^[6] Husein Ali Mvinji stated that Tanzania currently imports large quantities of fertilizers, pharmaceutical products, edible oils, and meat, which Serbia can offer. ^[7] Husein Ali Mvinji stated that they wish to increase procurement from Serbia and open the possibility of joint production in Tanzania. ^[8] Over 20 Serbian companies participated in the forum to present their business interests and investment opportunities in Tanzania and Zanzibar. ^[9] Aquaponic technology allows for the simultaneous cultivation of fish and vegetables on the same farm. ^[10] The aquaponic system makes efficient use of space, water, and resources. ^[11] The introduction of aquaponics aims to boost economic growth alongside food security. ^[12]
