The Colombian Supreme Court ratified the conviction of José Ignacio Mesa Betancur for his ties with 'La Oficina de Envigado' and the AUC that helped him become mayor of Envigado and senator. ^[1] The court's Special First Instance Chamber concluded that Mesa conspired since 1994 with 'La Oficina de Envigado' to obtain support for his candidacies that led him to be elected mayor of Envigado in 1995 and senator in 1998 and 2002, in exchange for managing the organization's interests. ^[2] A study investigated the collapsibility properties of 15 performance metrics used in predictive artificial intelligence. ^[3] The research identified five specific metrics as non-collapsible: the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), calibration intercept, calibration slope, expected calibration error, and Nagelkerke R^[2]. ^[4] Diego Fernando Murillo, alias 'Don Berna', the extradited former paramilitary and drug trafficker, also implicated Mesa in his testimonies. ^[5] The study determined that ten other metrics are collapsible, including the O:E ratio, logloss, Brier score, accuracy, F1-score, true positive rate, true negative rate, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and net benefit. ^[6]
