A stabbing attack in New York City's Times Square on Monday killed 32-year-old Bank of America vice president and lawyer Erin Piacenti and injured another victim. ^[1] Erin Guiltinan Piacenti, a 32-year-old vice president of business selection and conflicts at Bank of America, was stabbed in the abdomen in Times Square, Manhattan, shortly after 4:30 p.m. ET on Monday. ^[2] A woman stabbed two people and killed one in Times Square, New York, before being shot by police on a Monday. ^[3] The attacker was identified as Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old resident of Queens, who was shot and killed by police. ^[4] The victim of the attack was Erin Piacenti, a vice president at Bank of America, who died from her injuries after being transported to a hospital. ^[5] Cisneros went on to 42nd Street, where she stabbed Erin Piacenti, as per a report by the New York Post. ^[6] Pamela Cisneros had two kitchen knives in each hand when she stabbed her first victim, a 68-year-old man, in the abdomen once he exited the subway on West 41st Street. ^[7] Police identified the suspect as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros, whose family said she had a history of mental health issues. ^[8] Piacenti was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time after being stabbed by a woman carrying two knives, according to WNBC. ^[9] New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced the deaths of the victim and the attacker at a press conference. ^[10] A second victim, a 68-year-old man named Tak Kam, was also stabbed but is currently in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital. ^[11] Piacenti had just returned from maternity leave with her newborn daughter when the attack occurred. ^[12]
