The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City detained four suspected members of the criminal group 'La Anti Unión Tepito' in the Morelos neighborhood of the Venustiano Carranza borough. ^[1] On Tuesday, two suspects robbed a pawn shop located at the intersection of Montevideo Avenue and Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City. ^[2] Authorities seized a short-barreled firearm with two useful cartridges, two medium plastic bags containing dried green plant matter resembling marijuana, and 146 white paper packets containing a yellowish stone-like substance resembling cocaine. ^[3] Eight additional individuals were detained for attempting to physically and verbally assault officers to release the four primary suspects, including Leonor N (25), Nancy N (44), Zelzyn Melisa N (36), Cristian Adolfo N (34), Nayeli N (26), Ignacio N (40), Osman Jesús N (20), and Jared N (21). ^[4] The four detained suspects are Marlen N (47), Dairon Joseph N (19), Víctor Daniel N (19), and Axel N (26), identified as operating in the central capital zone. ^[5] The intruders threatened employees to seize various pieces of gold and silver before escaping before the arrival of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC). ^[6] Authorities have taken over the case to identify the suspects through video surveillance and other evidence. ^[7] Police officers arrived at the scene to cordon off the area and gather information to establish how the robbery occurred. ^[8]
