NASA astronaut Jessica Meir and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot completed a spacewalk of nearly seven hours on Tuesday to install a reflector on the International Space Station (ISS) to facilitate spacecraft docking. ^[1] Astronaut Sophie Adenot had difficulty moving her left arm during the spacewalk, which NASA stated was caused by a harness on the heater of one of the suit gloves catching and limiting her shoulder movement. ^[2] The spacewalk concluded at 15:29 Eastern Time (19:29 GMT), approximately twenty minutes later than scheduled, according to the NASA. ^[3] Astronaut Jessica Meir determined that the harness of the heater on one of Adenot's gloves likely caught and limited her shoulder movement. ^[4] This was the 99th spacewalk involving a US astronaut, the 7th for Meir, and the 3rd for Adenot, who became the first French woman to walk in space on August 18. ^[5]
