Colombian authorities attributed a car bomb attack on the police station in Los Patios, Norte de Santander, to two members of the ELN identified as alias David and alias Nay. ^[1] The car bomb attack resulted in one death and twelve injuries, including two police officers. ^[2] An explosive device placed in a vehicle detonated in front of the Los Patios Police Station in Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, on the night of August 31, 2026. ^[3] The explosion killed one civilian, injured two uniformed officers, and damaged police vehicles and motorcycles. ^[4] Alias David and alias Nay are suspected of planning and executing the attack and are also linked to an attack on the Cúcuta police command on August 1. ^[5] Alias Nay, also known as 'Nike', is identified as being involved in the operational coordination of attacks within the Eln structure. ^[6] The Colombian government has offered a reward of 800 million pesos for information leading to the capture of alias David. ^[7] Colombian authorities offered a reward of up to 800 million pesos for information leading to the capture of alias David and 150 million pesos for alias Nay. ^[8]
