President Claudia Sheinbaum presented a package of 11 legislative initiatives to the Mexican Congress to mark the conclusion of her second government report. ^[1] Claudia Sheinbaum stated that the ban on dual nationality is intended to ensure that 'the superior interest is Mexico, no other country'. ^[2] The Executive presented the General Law to Prevent, Investigate, Sanction, and Repair Damage from the Crime of Femicide to standardize the criminal type across all federal entities. ^[3] The President proposed a constitutional reform to the articles 82, 116, and 122 of the Political Constitution to prohibit federal and state executives from acquiring or requesting a second nationality. ^[4] Luisa Alcalde, the Legal Advisor to the Presidency, was mistakenly stopped by a security filter at the entrance to the Mexican presidential office. ^[5] The confusion lasted for a few moments until the access control personnel realized she was the Legal Advisor. ^[6] Benito Jiménez, a photographer, captured an image of the event. ^[7]
