JetSMART Peru announced a new flight route connecting Lima to Punta Cana, Republic of the Dominican Republic, with a layover in Medellín, Colombia, starting in November 2026. ^[1] In November 2026, the airline will offer two weekly departures for the Lima-Punta Cana route, increasing to three weekly departures in December and January, and returning to two weekly departures in February. ^[2] The new route will operate with a layover time of up to two hours and will use the airline's low-cost fare model. ^[3] Air France's La Première first class cabin is only available on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft serving 13 destinations from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport. ^[4] Cathay Pacific's new Aria Suite business class features a 1-2-1 configuration with sliding privacy doors and fully flat beds, offering direct aisle access to every passenger. ^[5] Lufthansa's First Class Terminal at Frankfurt Airport offers personal assistants, dedicated security, à-la-carte dining, and personal chauffeur transfers, creating a significant ground advantage over business class. ^[6] The number of airlines operating dedicated first class cabins has fallen by more than 40% since 2019, narrowing the gap between premium cabins. ^[7] The increase in flight frequency is supported by an expansion of the Lima-Medellín route, which will increase from seven to ten weekly flights during January and February 2027. ^[8]
