A poll conducted by Infratest dimap two weeks before the state election in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern shows the SPD at 32% of the vote. ^[1] The ARD-Deutschlandtrend poll conducted by Infratest dimap found that 56% of respondents believe the Federal Republic of Germany is currently under strong or very strong threat from Russia. ^[2] The institute Infratest dimap conducted a survey for the television channel ARD that found 54% of residents in eastern Germany believe military aid shipments to Ukraine are excessive. ^[3] Suse Sziborra-Seidlitz, the top candidate for the Green Party in Saxony-Anhalt, stated that a second vote for the Greens is necessary to prevent the AfD from forming a sole government. ^[4] If the Union maintains its incompatibility resolution with The Left, a red-red-green coalition without the AfD would be the only possible outcome. ^[5] The SPD has gained three percentage points compared to the last survey conducted in early July. ^[6] According to the Infratest dimap survey, only 37% of respondents in eastern Germany considered the current level of military aid to Ukraine to be appropriate or insufficient. ^[7] The survey conducted by Infratest dimap for ARD between August 31 and September 2 included 1,319 residents from both eastern and western Germany. ^[8] The survey revealed that 47% of participants in eastern Germany believe Russia poses a minor threat or no threat to Germany, compared to 36% of respondents in western Germany. ^[9] Sziborra-Seidlitz admitted that the Green Party neglected the topic of East German identity for a long time, acknowledging that the AfD successfully addresses the feelings of humiliation regarding post-reunification experiences. ^[10] The Green Party's campaign slogan for the upcoming election is 'Du hast was gegen Nazis an der Macht: Zweitstimme Grün' (You have something against Nazis in power: Second vote Green). ^[11] According to a current survey by Infratest Dimap for the ARD, the Green Party is projected to receive six percent of the vote in Saxony-Anhalt. ^[12]
