President Donald Trump announced on Thursday the appointment of Adam Telle as the interim Secretary of the Army. ^[1] The US Army used a high-energy laser system to down three drones presuntamente operated by cartels at the border. ^[2] Adam Telle, currently the Deputy Secretary for Public Works, will serve as the interim Secretary of the Army with immediate effect. ^[3] Dan Driscoll resigned as Secretary of the Army earlier in the week amid tensions with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. ^[4] Lieutenant General Arthur G. Trudeau, chief of research and development for the US Army, directed a feasibility study on 20 March 1959 regarding a lunar outpost. ^[5] The study assumed the outpost would be launched from a new site built in Brazil. ^[6] The study surveyed the Atlantic Missile Range and the Pacific Missile Range and found neither site suitable for the program. ^[7] The transport plan required a 96-minute equatorial Earth orbit to transfer propellant because a direct flight vehicle with twelve million pounds of thrust would not be available in time. ^[8] Authorities seized more than 16 tons of methamphetamine in Sinaloa. ^[9] The US and Mexico cooperated to dismantle eight methamphetamine laboratories in less than a week. ^[10] The US attributed the downing of the drones to cooperation with Mexico. ^[11] Dan Driscoll was a former law school classmate of Vice President JD Vance and benefited from their friendship within the administration. ^[12]
